The College Starter Pack: Dorm Edition
Similar to the kitchen edition, our team has put together a list of essentials to keep students nourished and energized throughout their college journey. However, this time all the items are dorm room compatible. We can’t always predict when hunger will strike so preparing our students with the correct tools to nourish themselves is essential. With limited space and less cooking equipment, keeping certain food stocked can lead to healthier choices – Let’s get snacking!
Dorm Tools
- Mini Air Fryer – Just like a regular air fryer, but smaller and made for easy storage and cleaning.

- Mini Fridge – in a tight space, a mini fridge can hold so much value, being able to keep a wider variety of food options.
- Electric Kettle – having hot water in minutes to effortlessly make a hot beverage or whip up some ramen in a dorm can be a lifesaver.

- Single-serve coffee maker – buying a coffee every day is not realistic for many students, so making it at home saves time and money. Plus, you can get reusable K-pods to fill with coffee grounds.

- Pot and pan – when community kitchens are available in dorms having a pot and pan can open the possibilities of cooking rather than sticking to pre-made snacks and meals. These kitchens can also provide microwaves which can be used to heat up foods like leftovers or even steam frozen veggies.
