Rhonda Alewine is the Patient Services Coordinator for Summerfield Custom Wellness and supports our patient care and coordination of telehealth visits. She is ready to answer your questions and schedule you with the dietitian that best matches your health and wellness needs. Rhonda serves as the primary point of contact for communications, program registration, scheduling, and customer service.
Originally from the Gulf Coast, she attended Mississippi State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics, and completed her dietetic internship. Although her career began primarily in Oncology, she later moved to sunny Florida to become a Renal Dietitian and has over 14 years of experience in the dialysis setting. Upon relocating to North Carolina, she worked as an Implementation Manager for a nutrition software company and as an Eligibility Coordinator and Quality Assurance Specialist for a value-based kidney care provider.
Rhonda has been inspired by a “food as medicine” approach after helping family members control their high blood pressure and diabetes with food and exercise instead of medications to manage these conditions. In 2020, she also completed a Certification of Training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition after dealing with chronic food intolerances and health issues and truly believes in getting to the root cause of disease. She is passionate about helping others and committed to helping you start the process of achieving your goals today!
