Megan is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist working with patients and corporate wellness clients in the Raleigh-Durham area and online via telehealth. She is Summerfield’s go-to women’s health expert!
After earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics from James Madison University and Master’s of Public Health in Nutrition from Liberty University, Megan attended Meredith College for her Dietetic Internship. During this experience, she completed rotations at WakeMed Hospital, Brunswick County WIC, Brunswick Child Nutrition, and Summerfield Custom Wellness in Wilmington.
As a child, Megan was unaware of what a balanced diet was, and often ate only dessert for lunches. Slowly she realized this was not a balanced way of eating, and she developed an interest in nutrition, which, through a lot of trial and error, allowed her to develop balance and freedom in her daily approach to nutrition. She enjoys sharing the perspectives she learned in her own health journey with her patients. Megan loves watching her clients discover that food is meant to be experienced and that all foods can be enjoyed while still pursing wellness.
Megan’s goal is to help patients develop positive, sustainable attitudes towards food and nutrition that emphasizes progress rather than perfection. By recognizing that quick fixes are not sustainable, she guides her clients towards realistic, short-term goals that will enhance long-term success. In addition to women’s health, she specializes in weight management, healthy relationships with food, and general wellness. Megan is passionate about utilizing an integrative nutrition and wellness approach to balance hormones, manage PCOS, reduce period pain and symptoms, and improve fertility.
