Online classes to learn more about nutrition and wellness

What is Perseverance?

Perseverance is a series of live, online, nutrition classes intended to help participants make informed, sustainable decisions about their health and lifestyle.  Our Registered Dietitians educate participants on a wide variety of topics, including meal planning, cooking skills, inflammation, sleep, your relationship with food, stress management, gut health, disease management, and prevention- and the list goes on!  We meet every other Wednesday at noon; sign up to join our program mailing list and join any sessions that most appeal to your interests.

 

Online classes are held biweekly on Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m. ET on Zoom. Please sign up to receive the login link.

October 15th – Improving Immunity

Our immune system does a marvelous job defending us against viruses and bacteria, but to function well, it needs balance and harmony. We will focus on specific vitamins and minerals that play a significant role in immunity, and additional nutrition strategies that keep our immune systems running smoothly. Join us to learn proactive tips on what you can do to build up a strong and healthy immune system during the winter season!

 

October 29th – The Tricks to Treating

From jack o’lanterns to pumpkin spice, Halloween is often all about the sweets! In this class, we explore the world of sugar and offer advice on creating a healthier Halloween celebration, whether trick-or-treating with family, going out for a party, or enjoying a night in.

 

November 12 – Reimagined Recipes 

Give your holiday classics a healthy refresh! This class will show you simple swaps and creative add-ins to boost nutrition while keeping all the flavor you love. Learn practical cooking hacks, tips to reduce food waste, and new ideas for enjoying leftovers. Walk away inspired to reimagine your favorite dishes and celebrate the season with confidence.

 

December 3 – Parties with a Plan 

Holiday gatherings don’t have to derail your health goals! In this session, you’ll learn practical strategies to enjoy potlucks, desserts, and drinks without the stress. We’ll cover strategies to breeze past common party pain points, enjoy every bite, and bounce back feeling your best by the next day. Leave equipped with a personalized party plan that lets you fully celebrate while honoring your health.

 

December 17 – Gift Yourself with Activity with a live workout

This holiday season, give yourself the gift of movement! Join us to explore ways to overcome common barriers to staying active, plus the many benefits of joyful movement for energy, mood, and stress relief. We’ll wrap up with a live, all-levels workout so you can put your plan into practice. Celebrate the season by moving in ways that feel good for you.

Perseverance

Perseverance classes and visits with a Registered Dietitian are covered by insurance for most members with Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare plans. 

If your insurance plan doesn’t cover group classes, a discounted self-pay drop-in rate of $15 will be offered.

Our administrative team will verify that your insurance covers the program and will email you a confirmation with details.  Your insurance is only billed when you attend class.
