Sheri is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/ Nutritionist working with patients and corporate wellness clients in Greensboro, Durham, and online via telehealth. She is also a yoga teacher and enjoys opportunities for weaving mindfulness and yoga into her nutrition lessons.
After completing her Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition, Sheri went on to complete her Dietetic Internship from Meredith College. She had internship rotations at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Duke Diet and Fitness Center, and Eating Well Magazine in Vermont. Later, Sheri received her Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro which included community health work internationally in Zambia.
Sheri began her career working as a clinical dietitian in a skilled nursing facility and then took a role providing nutrition education in the community at the Partnership for Community Care. In this position, she developed and managed a healthy food pantry with fresh produce access for Medicaid recipients.
Her passion for teaching others about the power of “food as medicine”, was discovered after addressing her own health issues with nutrition, shortly after high school. Today, she continues to learn and grow in the area of Integrative and Functional Nutrition. Sheri understands that making health-related behavior changes can be difficult and strives to empower her clients with the knowledge, support, and skills they need to cultivate a healthy lifestyle that is both sustainable and enjoyable. Her areas of expertise are dietary management for autoimmune disease, chronic pain, diabetes, heart disease, gut health, and vegan/vegetarian diets.
