Rachel Braxton is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist working with clients online via telehealth. She has experience as a clinical dietitian providing nutrition therapy in the ICU, renal, and outpatient cancer settings. Rachel is from Gastonia, North Carolina, and completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in health and human sciences with a concentration in nutrition and dietetics at Western Carolina University. She also completed her dietetic internship through WCU with rotations at Angel Medical Center, MAHEC Family Medicine, Rutherford Regional Hospital, Gaston County WIC, and Atrium Health Cleveland.
While attending high school, Rachel participated in multiple sports year-round and found herself struggling to balance her nutrition with her elevated level of physical activity. To recover her impaired relationship with food, she needed support from a Registered Dietitian. Through this experience, Rachel gained knowledge in utilizing nutrition to adequately fuel her lifestyle and recover her relationship with food. She was so inspired by the impact that nutrition played in her life that she pursued the path of becoming an RD.
Rachel believes that everyone has unique experiences and needs that influence their picture of health. She utilizes a personalized, non-restrictive, and weight-neutral approach to help others repair their relationship with food and improve their confidence in making sustainable, lasting changes. Rachel’s goal is to help her clients recognize their potential to achieve nutritional well-being so they can feel their best and live the healthy lives that they deserve.
