Practice Manager
Megan McNamara, MPH, RD, LDN is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and serves as the Practice Manager at Summerfield Custom Wellness. Megan’s areas of expertise center on women’s health and hormonal nutrition, including fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care, PCOS, endometriosis, and menstrual cycle regulation. Megan works closely with both the nutrition and administrative teams, as well as Summerfield’s worksite wellness partners, to bring impactful, accessible wellness programming to organizations and their employees.
In her role as Practice Manager, Megan maintains a small patient load while primarily focusing on program development and operations. She spends much of her time collaborating with corporate partners to plan and coordinate initiatives such as lunch-and-learn sessions, health fairs, group nutrition programs, and onsite or virtual wellness events. She also works with partner organizations to offer nutrition counseling services to their employees and plays a key role in planning, promoting, and managing Summerfield’s online group nutrition programs.
Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from James Madison University and her Master of Public Health in Nutrition from Liberty University. She completed her dietetic internship through Meredith College, with rotations at WakeMed Hospital, Brunswick County WIC, Brunswick Child Nutrition, and Summerfield Custom Wellness in Wilmington. Megan has spent her entire career in outpatient nutrition counseling, with experience in both public health and private practice settings. She originally joined Summerfield as a dietetic intern and has since grown into roles as a Registered Dietitian, Wellness Program Manager, and now Practice Manager.
At the heart of her work, Megan is passionate about seeing people succeed. She finds fulfillment in helping individuals step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, and recognize their own ability to create positive, lasting change in their health and well-being. Megan believes that sustainability is the foundation of long-term health and that meaningful change happens when nutrition feels nourishing, flexible, and aligned with real life.
