Krista is a Registered Dietitian in the Raleigh/Durham area specializing in the management of diabetes and other chronic illness, as well as nutrition counseling for traditional cultural cuisines. Krista has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from DePaul University in Chicago, and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Krista completed her dietetic internship at Cabarrus Health Alliance in Kannapolis, Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, and a private practice focused on nutrition for weight loss in Charlotte.
When it comes to nutrition counseling, Krista believes the client should be at the center. She believes in helping to guide clients to small changes that can be incorporated into their existing lifestyle to foster lasting, sustainable results. Food is deeply personal and something to be celebrated. As such, her main goal in nutrition counseling is to promote health while maintaining an individual’s unique approach to food and culture.
Krista is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys Latin dancing, reading fantasy novels, and learning to brew the perfect cup of coffee.
