Kevin Miller is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist working with patients online via telehealth. Prior to joining the team at Summerfield Custom Wellness, he worked with hospital patients in a variety of settings from behavioral health to the intensive care unit. Kevin was an outpatient dietitian for a large endocrinology and diabetes practice near Atlanta, Georgia.
Dietetics is not Kevin’s first career; he’s worked at a nature preserve, has been a cooperative extension agent, and taught high school (among other occupations!) prior to returning to school for a master’s degree in public health and nutrition. He also has bachelor’s degrees in Biological Sciences and Botany and a master’s degree in Forestry. It was a love of science and an interest in how food profoundly affects our mental, emotional, and physical health that led him to want to become a dietitian.
Despite years of education, Kevin’s real understanding of healthy eating continues to grow as he interacts with patients and clients. One of his favorite parts of his work now is learning how a healthy relationship with food looks different for each of us. His passion is working with others to help them gain skills that make it easy to be more happy, healthy, and productive!
