Caroline Hood is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist working with patients and corporate wellness clients in the Wilmington area and online via telehealth. She is also our Program Coordinator, responsible for a variety of aspects related to the delivery of our nutrition education programs.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Clemson University, Caroline attended Tulane University for her dietetic internship. While completing various rotations in New Orleans, from community programs and teaching kitchens to cardiac rehab and other specialized clinics, Caroline infused her nutrition experience with the unique aspects of the local cultures and cuisines. She then worked at a hospital in Los Angeles, serving a diverse multi-cultural population. Through these experiences, Caroline found her calling to help people in the prevention of disease with a focus on balance and sustainability.
Witnessing a close family member make healthy lifestyle changes to tackle high cholesterol inspired Caroline’s interest in nutrition and health, ultimately leading her to a nutrition career. She loves working as a dietitian because it allows her to combine her love for science with her passion for helping others. Caroline’s specialty areas include nutrition for PCOS, hormone health, diabetes management, heart health, and plant-based eating. Caroline takes a customized approach by meeting her clients where they are and supporting them to make positive, sustainable changes. Her goal is to empower her clients to achieve their full health potential.
