Bethany McCloskey (Paszkowski) is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist working with patients and corporate wellness clients online via telehealth. As Assistant Director of Nutrition, she serves as a manager and mentor for the dietitians on the Summerfield team.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Bethany attended Penn State University where she completed her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship through Morrison Healthcare. During this experience, she completed rotations at UPMC Carlisle Hospital, Wellspan Chambersburg Hospital, and Cross Keys Village long-term care facility.
Bethany also has a background in fitness consulting and personal training. She had a unique role working with clients on their fitness goals in the gym and then bringing them into the office setting for nutrition counseling. She spent time developing individual plans for both fitness and nutrition clients, presented wellness programs, and developed recipe content.
She became a dietitian through experimenting with her own nutrition after leaving her competitive sports team, soon realizing that there was more to overall health than physical activity. After looking through the lens of nutrition, she was able to make personal changes that put her on the path to optimal health. Bethany is very passionate about helping people to encompass all aspects of health to become the best version of themselves.
Bethany’s ultimate goal is to make food and nutrition easy for people to understand, sustainable in their own lifestyle, and most importantly enjoyable. Her areas of expertise include nutrition for weight loss, diabetes management, GI health, and hormone health. She utilizes functional and integrative nutrition approaches to really help patients navigate the underlying root cause of their health concerns and create an individualized plan that works for them.
