Abby Caudle-Patton is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist working with patients online via telehealth and corporate clients in the Raleigh-Durham area.
Abby attended NC State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Applied Nutrition Science. While at NCSU, she worked with the University Wellness and Recreation department as a peer health coach and wellness ambassador. In this role, she worked with college-aged students in developing and reaching goals related to nutrition, physical activity, stress, time management, and personal confidence. Abby then attended Meredith College for her Master’s degree and dietetic internship. During the internship, Abby completed her food service and clinical rotations at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, NC where she provided medical nutrition therapy for patients with a variety of health challenges. Other rotations included Bridge the Gap Mission in Raleigh, NC, and here at Summerfield Custom Wellness.
Abby found her calling as an RD after working in an inpatient eating disorder treatment facility where she provided therapeutic support to pediatric and adolescent patients. This experience opened her eyes to the impact of a qualified, compassionate nutrition professional and solidified her path toward nutrition counseling.
Abby’s goal is to support her clients with patience and creativity to ultimately make nutrition less of a stressor. She has a passion for meeting clients where they are and believes that small, sustainable changes in diet and lifestyle can make a big impact on wellbeing. She hopes to support her clients in making informed health decisions without feeling restricted or deprived of the things that bring them joy. Her passions include working with adolescent populations, intuitive eating, and nutrition for cancer survivors both during and after treatment.
