Anna Wagner is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist based in Chapel Hill, NC. She works with patients online via telehealth.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Foods from Appalachian State University, Anna attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her Master’s in Public Health. Her dietetic internship included rotations in clinical nutrition at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, a community nutrition rotation at Wake County Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), and an eating disorder treatment facility.
Anna’s decision to pursue a career in dietetics was driven by her desire to integrate her love of food with her interest in science, as well as her passion for helping others. Additionally, she gained firsthand experience working with a dietitian to overcome her own health challenges, reinforcing her belief in the positive impact that a supportive and knowledgeable dietitian can have on an individual’s well-being. Anna recognizes the deep emotional connection people have with food and its significance in culture and community. Witnessing how individuals can feel isolated from these essential aspects when navigating nutrition-related challenges, she is enthusiastic about collaborating with clients to help them reconnect with the pleasure of food and make nutritious choices feel like second nature.
Anna is committed to an individualized and integrative approach to nutrition and wellness and values cultivating meaningful relationships with clients, drawing inspiration from their experiences and growth. Anna enjoys working across various nutrition domains and is particularly interested in disordered and emotional eating, digestive health, menopause and hormonal health, and exploring plant-based diets.
