Abby Neuroh is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, based in the Raleigh-Durham area. In her role as Director of Nutrition, she serves as a coach and mentor for the dietitians and managers on the Summerfield team, creates resources and program materials, and she is our own walking encyclopedia!
After attending Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree, Abby completed her dietetic internship and Master’s of Science through North Carolina Central University, where she had rotations with Rex Wellness Center, Duke Raleigh Hospital, and The Forest at Duke. Since 2012, Abby has worked with patients across all age ranges, nutritional needs, and activity levels, including in-home tube feeding patients, athletes looking to elevate their performance, and corporate clients providing health coaching for their employees.
Watching her grandmother recreate recipes to support her grandfather after a quadruple bypass initially sparked Abby’s interest in the power of nutrition science. Her love for competitive swimming further encouraged her interests as she realized that a well-rounded diet could give her an edge over her competition. Abby has a personal lifelong journey with GI distress, and she brings that experience into all aspects of her position with Summerfield.
Abby’s main goal is helping people discover how their body reacts to different foods and nutrients. She utilizes functional and integrative nutrition approaches to help patients that have not been fully seen and heard by other providers, making sure no stone is left unturned.
