Rachel is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist working with patients and corporate wellness clients in the Raleigh-Durham area and online via telehealth.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Foods from Appalachian State University, Rachel returned to Raleigh to earn her Master of Science in Food and Nutrition Studies with a focus in community food security at Meredith College. She completed her dietetic internship at Meredith College and gained additional experience through rotations at Wayne UNC Health Care, Poe Center for Health Education, and True You Weight Loss.
She has always been inspired by human interaction and knew she wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field to help others. Growing up, she would spend hours in the kitchen trying new recipes and preparing meals for friends and family. Realizing that she could pursue a career in nutrition science seemed too good to be true but was a decision that came naturally to her. Combining her knowledge with her compassion for others is one of her favorite things about being a Registered Dietitian.
Rachel’s goal as a dietitian is to help others find peace with nourishment while supporting their personal health goals. She enjoys making genuine connections with patients and has a particular interest in working with individuals to improve their relationship with food. She loves helping patients rediscover the joy of food and believes that each individual is the expert of their own body.
