Kelsey Johnson is the Lead Registered Dietitian in the Wilmington area. She is passionate about helping patients improve their relationship with food. Kelsey graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics and she completed her dietetic internship at University of Louisiana Lafayette. She specializes in disease prevention, chronic disease management, pediatrics, and mindful/intuitive eating.
Prior to moving to the Wilmington area from the Washington state, Kelsey worked with all types of patients, from a variety of backgrounds, and focused on the mindful/intuitive eating approach. She also worked at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital providing nutritional care to children and their families. She tends to find herself always on the go and finds great joy in hiking, camping, playing soccer and traveling.
Kelsey’s Nutrition Philosophy: “How we do food is how we do life. Every meal is a metaphor for how you show up in the world. Are you present? Are you complaining? Are you multitasking? Add love, celebration, time, and gratitude at each meal and aim to make every meal the best one ever.”
