A native of Virginia, Amelia grew up in the Shenandoah Valley nestled among the Blue Ridge Mountains. Amelia is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist currently living in Jacksonville, North Carolina and sees patients throughout the Wilmington area.
Amelia attended James Madison University, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She went on to complete the Virginia Tech Internship in Nutrition and Dietetics. Amelia’s areas of experience include weight loss, diabetes management and general wellness. She has a professional background working as a Registered Dietitian in a long term care facility and an integrative health clinic.
She grew to love the outdoors with the Shenandoah National Park so close to home. During her free time, she and her husband love to hike, travel and spend time with their cat, Piccolo. Amelia is currently working toward becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher.
Amelia’s Nutrition Philosophy: Amelia believes that focusing on real, whole food is a crucial component of adopting a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. She works with clients to break the diet mentality and provide guidance in helping them discover any emotional blocks or triggers they may have regarding diet and weight loss. She is passionate about facilitating change in her clients so that together they can determine which steps to take for them to become the best version of themselves. Clients are given the tools and guidance necessary to make long-lasting lifestyle changes that can be continued on an individual basis.
